Take a look around you. Something YOU use or do every day could be powered differently.
Your challenge this week is to DESIGN A NEW WAY TO POWER something you use everyday. Maybe it's your mobile phone. Maybe it's the light you use to read at night.
Your solution should be cheaper, or more sustainable, than your current power source.
It's an ambitious challenge -- but you're an EVOKE agent. You know that even if you fail, you can learn from your efforts... and maybe even inspire someone along the way.
Share your design in a blog post, video or image. For legendary honors, make your idea real -- and show us in photo or video your brand new power source in action!

Toothbrushes! Everyone (i hope!) brushes their teeth 1 to 2 times a day! i think with every brush that you take it should make power that can charge batterys or even your phone! i think that would make a lot of energy in a green way
Smart phone. You can almost see everyone typing away on their small devices, but we do have to charge them. Instead of plugging the charger into an outlet and putting energy into our phones that way, we could find a creative solar way to charge them.
Hairbrush. Girls use a hairbrush every single day of their lives until they die. Since girls always use a hairbrush the hairbrush should produce energy with every stroke. That would create a lot of energy.
Since we use writing utensils everyday we should have pens and poencils that when you write with them they send some energy to the power souce of the building in wich you are in.
Instead of using oil in your cars we should find another way to power our cars. an example being solar power or vegtiable oil or some fuel that will be safe for the enviorment and other living things.
I do not always have an ice box for my lunchbox. It would be a really good idea to have a solar powered lunchbox that uses the suns energy to create something cold. like a little fan in the lunchbox powered by the sun.
We could create solar power generators for phones and other electrionic devices to power them without causing any enviormental damage. I am talking about those solar panals on a calculator.
We could create a way that phones had 'solar energy' cases. Then, it would be easier to charge, ( point it up to the sky ) and you wouldn't have to use as much electricity.
My idea is to take a Coke bottle (NOT a can!!!) and paint the inside with flame retardant chemicals. Then, I cut a h*** in the bottom end of the bottle and stick in a pipe, which is connected to something, anything, that makes sparks. when this is turned on (it's battery powered) and then set inside of a car, it powers the engine. Now, there are already electric cars, but this is something else entirely: When the car and the device are turned on, the wheels on the car turn, right? Well, THESE wheels have a special sensor/transmitter in them that has a connection to the power generator in the owners house. Every time the wheel turns, the sensor transmits a signal to the generator and puts more energy into it. This is a two-for-one deal: drive your car without having to pay for gas AND lower your energy bill!

I think a good way to create power just by going along with your normal day is by making a bike that somehow connects to a building or a house and everytime a different part of the wheel (while it is spinning) touches the ground, it will create electricity from the friction on the ground that will go to the building/house. This will also encourage to ride bikes instead of cars and that would be less carbon dioxide in the air and more fit and athletic people!
A lot of people use electric toothbrushes because they are better for your teeth than regular toothbrushes. But, some people don't get them because they are more expensive. But, if there was an electric toothbrush that could make energy when used, it might be a little more expensive to buy but would quickly pay off and end up saving you money while you end up with MUCH cleaner and whiter teeth!
A lot of kids love to play basketball, right. So (sort of copying off Jessica Lin), what if there was a baskatball that produces energy. You could use it all the time, at home, school, and at any organized place.
I use a flat irorn for my hair. If a special myterial that is pwered by heat is placed under the plates it could power the flat iron as well a recharge it.
Every time you open and close a door it makes energy for the wh*** house. It will work because a special door mat will be placed under every door and when the door opens/closes it will cause friction then be converted to energy to use for the house.
I realized how people everywhere walk. OBVIOUSLY. So, I thought to make shoes that collect electricity every time you walk, run, jog, etc. There could also be a plug source on it. So when you walk, you get electricity and you can plug in any source.
