A crash course in changing the world.
People in Taiwan have a special tradition on special days. The host will ask many cooks to prepare delicious dishes and invite lots of guests to come over. Different occasions have different manners. For example, on wedding day, the cook have to prepare even dishes, they don’t cook carp and chicken. When the funeral is over, we also do this thing to show thanks for those who had come to the funeral. But there should be odd dishes, and the first dishes must be meat which is cut into triangle. Other special days, like the elderly’ birthdays, babies who are already one month old or someone move into a new house. We do this thing, too. And we call it “辦桌” .
