I agree with the other people that have already mentioned, that in Germany it is not the problem that we have too less food. I think the biggest problem we have to tackle is to stop the overproduction, so that in the end about 20% of still eatable food is thrown away. The attitude of the people needs to be changed. One step towards that direction would be to remove or redefine the minimum durability date and sensitise the population to not throw still eatable food away.

To be a social innovator there is not really one secret that makes the difference.
For me, first of all it is very important that "Problems are not always obvious from afar". You want to go out there and save the world? Then go out there and see it with your own eyes. Crucial to every successful innovation is that you have to talk to the people, listen to them, and really really go there and live like them. Only then you will find something new they lack of and what could really help…
