A crash course in changing the world.
So many people to choose from! I toyed with selecting some Ashoka heros I actually know, like Martine Somda of REVS+ in Burkina Faso, but decided to choose someone in light of my first blog post on going where the action is. Reviewing the 33 secrets of social innovation, which are all fantastic and valid points, the one that really struck home with me was "go to where the action is." It is so easy for us as individuals to "armchair criticize" decisions that are being implemented in the world or sit at home and dream up innovations that could change the world. But more often than not, those solutions just don't work on the ground.
