A crash course in changing the world.
I believe that DIY Currency and Paypal have it correct with the methods of utilizing currency in the future. Tangible funds are seemingly becoming more and more burdensome and obsolete. People want access to money and not only as much as their wallet can hold. With electronic methods of delivering, sharing, or even coming up with currency, controlling ones funds will be more convenient but their are quite a few cons to have access to all ones money through a direct source. Nevertheless this…

What creative solution do you think will make the biggest change in how we use money in the future? Pick your favorite experiment and tell the EVOKE network why you think it will change the world.
Of the proposed experiments and financial solutions, the community focused trade organizations, such as World of Good, have the greatest potential for stewarding forward a more prosperous future for developing regions. The group taps into impoverished artisans to help foster community…

From the Upstart Business Journal, there is a post proposing that Do It Yourself Currencies are the future of money. These currencies are virtual and localized and the best thing about them is that they appear naturally when conditions are right. I think this type of experiment is important because it allows for a currency to naturally appear in a region according to its conditions and is specialized to the local economy. An example of this is the QQ coin for the QQ network or the M-PESA…

Bartering is the form of currency that will change the world. Bartering is the exchange of goods or services in place of using a formal currency. Bartering was widely used prior to the creation of money. Bartering can help the countries that do not have currency or a strong currency so they are on the same playing field as other nations. When currency is not easily convertible many nations already use barter so it would be convenient to make bartering more easily done on the computer. This…

I believe that "do it yourself" money is going to have the biggest change in regards to how we use money in the future. I believe this because of the great push towards digital life the world. Everything we do is revolved around technology. I believe that in the future that there will be little to no cash, strictly digital transactions. This being said, digital cash will be the next change in money in the future. Additionally, people will want to digital cash because they cannot physically…

I enjoyed the article, "The Future of Money," as it talks about the new trading systems that have recently been developed. Companies such as Paypal and Twittpay leave the user with some questions about security but how long will it take before it is just as a common as a bank account.

I think that the money idea with the biggest potential to change the way the world views money is Bitcoins. It also happens to be the riskiest. Since bitcoins currently are inherently at-risk, because they're entirely electronic and there's no security or backing them, they haven't taken off yet, but once we can find a way to use their idea, a global electronic, publicly accepted currency that can still be withdrawn at an ATM, I think we will revolutionize the way the world see's money once…

BitCoin is a new, innovative approach to online currency. In my finance class, I made a report on this new fad that has people talking all over. This online medium of exchange has had some criticism because it is anonymous and can be used for illegal purposes, but it is a step in the direction of the future of money.

I believe the future of currency is through a barcode. I read this book once that totally explained it and I think it will revolutionize the way people pay for things. The book described that everyone had a barcode tattooed to their skin. Once tattooed, this barcode would contain all of your information. Important medical history and information, credit cards, insurance information. Certain information would only be accessible by certain authorized personnel. That's the future right…

The most creative solution in how we will use money in the future is electronic currency. Bitcoin seems to be leading that area of currency. I think it will change the world because everyone will be using the same currency and no one will have to convert or be confused by prices in different places. It will unify everyone.

I think the future of money is Bitcoin. Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system.

Recently I have heard a lot about Bitcoins and not much on what they are or do. Apparently they are not even backed by the government, so why they are being used a currency I am unsure. The problem with using alternative currencies is that they fluctuate in value constantly. I think this kind of creative solution will only cause problems for the world, not solve them.

The creative solution I came up with is not giving our damn money to other countries. Also, I understand that there are going to be times that we have to go to war, but we need to find another way to fun our wars. If we stopped investing overseas, spending so much on war, and giving other countries our money, the value of a U.S dollar would be greater. This would make the biggest change in how we use money in the future.

Bitcoin has become a popular mode of payment on the internet. It is open sourced and therefore does not require any bank or central network. It is less traceable and acts in a similar manner as cash. It is created and managed electronically through the network.

It is very interesting to consider the future of money not only in this country but also around the world. Bartering is an ancient way to exchange goods and services and it seemed to work out fairly well for the most part so it would be interesting to see what a modern barter system would do for the global economy as people had the freedom to live more within their means and actually contribute their goods or services to society.

The future of money is always an interesting topic. As it stands there are a few countries that dominate the financial market. Countries that are not as powerful, or third world countries, often have a hard time seeing these currencies flow by them.
There are countries in where people are getting paid less than a $2 a day and expected to live on that.
I think one of the really cool ideas that is getting a lot of talk recently is this backdoor currency idea. One of the most…

The future of money and the exchange of currency is sure to change drastically over the next 10-20 years. With the increasing popularity of smartphones, iPads and other tablet devices, innovators are inventing applications faster than society can keep up with. In the future, I believe money payments will be almost exclusively done through smartphones, giving both parties a virtually instantaneous exchange.

Bit coins is a form of virtual currency. While it recently is under a microscope due to fraud, it is the idea that is important here. The currency was traded online and had no physical form and most things were purchased in fractions of a coin. The problem was that it was widely used in the underground market, as well as had no government regulation but by instituting regulation people can do trades only online which promotes global growth and communities. Virtual currency is an idea toyed…

I think that Bitcoin the virtual, no middle man currency is slowly changing the world. Bitcoins are very pivotal to the future of money due to the fact that there are no additional fees tied to using them. Transactions are also anonymous. No matter what your currency is there are several marketplaces called “bitcoin exchanges” allow people to buy or sell bitcoins using different currencies. It is so convenient that you can send bitcoins digitally. Bitcoins can be mined/earned by solving…

Marc Jacobs is one of many who is now embracing social currency. His store, instead of taking money for his items, takes social media posts like Tweets and Facebook posts in exchange for products. Other stores are also getting on board with this. As a PR major, I understand that social media, word of mouth, etc. is just as powerful as money. I believe social currency is the next big thing.
