EVOKE has transformed many cities and communities, but our work is far from done. We want to make EVOKE bigger, better, more resilient, more creative, and more accessible in the future.

The people I gather online are my closest Facebook friends. I mean who else would I talk to. Don't forget the cuties from Tinder.

A piece of insight that I thin is most surprising is lack of government or too strict of one. When the government is not involved enough problems can occur, but they can't be dictators either.

As a 100 year old woman I have a lot of wisdom to share. Always reuse your water bottles!!!! Many of the things that are thrown away can be used more than once, so do it! Stop being so wasteful and cherish the things you have. Not everyone has clean water so don't take 30 minute long showers just because you can.

I chose my home city of Tampa, FL because it is somewhat coastal and I know the city has taken extensive measures to ensure disaster preparedness. "The Florida Division of Emergency Management, Division of Community Planning and Department of Transportation in coordination with the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council have developed the Statewide Regional Evacuation Study for the Tampa Bay Region. This report updates the region's evacuation population estimates, evacuation clearance times and…

Being a college student I am terrified about a student loan crisis. I am only able to go to school because the government grants me loans. Should those be taken away I will not be able to attend university, along with many other students. The only way to keep informed of something this happening is paying close attention to those we elect into various offices within the government so ensure that their agenda on loans is something I agree with and that they wouldn't pass legislation that…

AKWOS is using sports to better the lives of Rwandan women. Beginning in 2010, the goal was to raise the self-esteem of 10,000 Rwandan women by participation in sporting teams and family planning, HIV/Aids & nutrition programs. They have surpassed that ten years later. The number of HIV/Aids cases has decreased, and women are taking better care of themselves and their families. Sports have given these women a sense of equality with their male counterparts, and the social system as a…

As a role model for younger women, it is my job to empower them to achieve their dreams and goals. I don't feel like empowering women has to be done through finances because women are emotional creatures. It is about uplifting them and giving the courage and strength they need when sometimes they don't have the ability the give it to themselves. People might say that emotional investments won't help their business run or educate them, but it gives them the power to seek after a greater life…

It is difficult to think of a kind of currency I have never used before to make a transaction. The problem with currencies is that they have to be wanted on the receiving end. A transaction I guess you could say I made or currency used was my time. In exchange for my time spent baking brownies I received a point towards my sorority. The future of money is rather terrifying because of the economic crises we have endured and I am not the best person to come up with an innovative idea. I…

Recently I have heard a lot about Bitcoins and not much on what they are or do. Apparently they are not even backed by the government, so why they are being used a currency I am unsure. The problem with using alternative currencies is that they fluctuate in value constantly. I think this kind of creative solution will only cause problems for the world, not solve them.

I would put together a huge event where individuals bring gallons of water jugs. The jugs would be placed in specific groups specified by country, like US, Africa, China, etc. The jugs would represent the amount of water us as americans use on a daily basis and how much other countries who don't have access to clean water like us use. The idea is to bring awareness of how we need to help others gain access to the same resources as us, and those gallons of water would be brought to needing…
