I will be working as a therapist at a youth crises center. I will be helping troubled teens and their families get though stressful situations, learn better communication skills and stress coping techniques, and reconcile and build stronger relationships.

I chose to follow Eric Dawson and the Peace First project because I feel it is very important to recognize the amount of violence that we and our children are exposed to everyday, and I think the program is an effective means to counter this negativity.

Ask and Listen
My favorite secret/tip was to talk to the people that have the problem and listen to what they say. I feel that to often a solution will be created and implemented and then fail because the individuals or organization did not learn about the culture or community being affected. You need to have the best understanding possible of the resources available and the people involved to be able to design something that will be used effectively.

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
