Your objective: Design a new way to power something you use every day.

I'd like to change the way vehicle hybrid systems work by using solar, kinetic and battery power to help raise efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of vehicles. I think there is a lot more that can be done and I hope to developed these technologies in the near future.

Find a POWER PLAYER: someone who is working on an amazing electricity or sustainable energy project.

This is a solar company that is trying to reduce the cost of owning a solar power system by using mirrors to amplify the light from the sun and concentrate it on the pv sheet. I think solar is the way of the future but current deployments are to expensive for…

Where are you? Who are you eating with?
Where did your food come from? How did you get it?
Who prepared it? What is the dish called? What does it taste
like?

I'm in my home in Sherman Oaks, Ca and i'm having dinner with my family. We're eating broiled Salmon with steamed veggies and pasta it all came from my yard. It tastes wonderful and it feels great being able to cook a full meal using food grown from my home.

Your objective: Describe the biggest challenge to food

security in your own local community or country -- and an

innovative solution that is already underway.

IMO, the biggest challenge for us in America is the cost of food. The cost of food seems to rise every year with inflation but salaries and overall income stays about the same. I think this has a lot to do with the cost of living in America. The government taxes as well as most states. They tax individuals and…

My Hero is Jane Ngoiri of Mitumba. Her story was so touching, that my eyes began to water while reading it. I am normally not brought to tears from readings like this, i'm usually just infuriated by the corruption, selfishness, ignorance and at times blindness of people. I'm amazed that people feel that it is acceptable for others to live like this. It almost feels like we as Americans and other urban nations live in a different world that has no recollection of these poverty stricken nations.… Continue

Imagine your best-case scenario future. Where will you be living in 2020? What will you do with your days? How are you changing the world on a daily basis?

  • Imagine yourself exactly ten years from today
  • Tell a story about where you are, and what you're doing, when Alchemy calls YOU to help with the Tokyo food crisis.
I would be living in Los Angeles. I would be working with an automobile manufacture making economical and environmentally friendly products that… Continue

5. What you have matters more than what you lack (If you’ve got a bicycle,

consider what you can build based on that, rather than worrying about

not having a car, a truck, a metal shop.)

This is a concept most people fail to realize, including myself at times. Resourcefulness is a great quality to have, simply because it means that you can accomplish things despite being adequately supported. It forces you to think harder about the solution and thoroughly analyze every… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
