A crash course in changing the world.
My EVOKATION is based on the implementation of renewable energy as described in my ACT 3 Blogs.
This technology has great potential to be a great social venture.
1.I intend to cary this out in East Africa. Their standard of living is very low.
2.I aim to change the quality of life of the impoverished East Africans, they need this type of technology as it will greatly improve their existing technology and will serve many purposes for…

The Evoke network should build on the following things next season.
- Should target environmental aspects more (global warming), and the growing problem of insurgency in the middle east.
- Target North American markets more heavily. Work in S. Africa is great example how.
- I would encourage younger childern to play (8+) they are full of ingenious ways to make the world a better place.
- I would make the game objectives easier to…

I would call on all the teachers from the schools in the region to step up and aid in the vaccinating process. Because Teachers have basic First Aid treatment and medical training, they can be easily called upon to help in the vaccinating process.
While not asking them to give the vaccinations personally (In my country only Registered Nurses are allowed to do this) they could help dispose of medical waste and process new and used syringes.
This would take off…

The point i chose was how to control panic.(http://www.nieman.harvard.edu/Microsites/NiemanGuideToCoveringPandemicFlu/CrisisCommunication/ManagingPanicInAPandemic.aspx)
For example when we look back at the swine flu (H1N1) virus earlier this year (late last year) there was widespread panic everywhere. There were riots of people fighting to…

For my act 8 blog post I carved a polar bear out of soapstone. These types of carvings are very common whithin the Inuit people of Northern Canada.
I decided to carve a bear because polar bears are an endangered speicies and may be wiped out. This is to keep a record of them, in case they, unfortunately, do become exctinct.

In 2095 I would pass on my knowledge of how to deal with oil shortages and how to prepare for upcoming ones. In 2095, unless we can find a major new deposit, we will have our tanks pretty much dry. This will be extremely useful knolwedge as oil is and probably alwasys will be a valuble resource.

I chose the Case study provided in this link.
http://srdis.ciesin.org/cases/kenya-005.html
An important lesson learned is the Viable institutional innovations with respect to community based natural resource management in developing and transitional economies.
In English that tells us of the importance small communites have in natural resource management.
In the case here the…

As stated in my ACT 7 post, there are e-billboard set up throught the city to inform people of trouble. Whether it be of traffic or something else. Being a city of around 1 million, it would be bad to use texts and phone calls to inform people as this would backlog the system.
This way is much more efficient and much safer.

THe only real threat to my city geographically is wild fires, due to the fact our climate is fairly dry. The city chould take steps to crate a firewall(blue ink) around Emonton and area in order to minimise the risk of the fire spreading and endangering homes and villages.
Even though this will be an expensive project (our city's metropolitian area is about the same size as that of Chicago), the safety of our citizens should come…

Living in mid western Canada the only real threat to our safety is wild fires. Because not all phones are capable of reading SMS or have app alerts, our city uses electronic billbords placed all along the city. These are normally used to inform people about trafic jams, detours, or construction sites. However these can be easily used as an early warning system and give instructions to the general public with just a click of a computer mouse.
This is quite a useful system and…

It is the year 2020 hundreds of women have better lives in the Middle East and Africa. Not only have they escaped from the clutches of poverty, they now have the same value and respect as most men. More education for women has led to the introduction of new equality laws, family management education, and a general increase in awareness about unfairness.
Many women are now actively involved in their respective countries governments and play a crucial role in law making, in fact…

Here at my Jr. High Grandview Heights we are well adept at using social netwrking sites to convey information to a lot of people.
For my ACT 6 post i was constantly increasing awareness about this pressing issue by informing my peers and other contacts on MSN and eventually the word traveled to Facebook as well.
Even though I was not able to raise money this week due to a pressing schedule, I was able to raise awareness of this issue that is plagueing many…

Recently another bak just opened up in the buisness plaza. It is The PBA (Provincial Bank of Alberta)
They state that their mission is to provide low intrest loans to Albertans who need it most. They want to help eliminate Financial problems of troubled Albertans.
(Here is a picture I drew that looks like it was done with crayon of this bank. I actually drew it with Microsoft Paint.)…

At school not liking to carry money around, our currency there is the items in our lunchbag. We often trade these items for other similar items based on our personal tastes. This system is a very crude form over the bartering system, but it is gaining popularity in our school and people seem to use it more and more often.
However childish it may seem, It prevents us from bringing larger amounts of $$$ to school which you wouldnt want to have stolen. (A $20 CDN dollar bill is…

I believe that a global currency is key to the future of money. As a starting point we need to start off as a region who universally accepts a new currency and throws out their old one (EU). Luckilly a group has already done this, and it has had good results. This currency should be strong in order to have the greatest impact in global economies. (In between strengths of the British Pound and Australlian Dollar).
Or we could do it the easy way: Change the name of the American…

My world water day in 2020 would be similar to what WWF does for its yearly earth hour event.
People would be encouraged to not use water unless for emergencies and donate money to charities such as UNICEF tohelp build wells and pumps in areas of the world where it is most needed.
It will be difficult to imagine how many people can be affected by something like this, if there are similar rusults like that of WWFs Earth Hour
