What I can do to help people get clean water

There are many things that I can to do help create awareness for the water crisis around the world. One thing that I can do to create awareness and collect water for people in Africa is by starting a Carry5 program in the New York are where people would walk 5 kilometers for 5 gallons of water. By doing this, I would raise awareness of the water crisis that many people face and inspire many people to do similar things to help people that face water crisis, and I would also collect many gallons… Continue

Clean Water

One innovative way that has been created to provide water for poor people around the world is the CARRY FOR 5 program. This program creates walks around the United States in which people carry 5 gallons of waters for 5 kilometers just like people in Africa do. It is basically collecting clean water for them, and showing how hard life is for them in Africa.

Federick Law Olmstead

One social entrepreneur was Federick Law Olmsted. "Frederick Law Olmsted was a champion of the late 19th-century "City Beautiful" movement. Olmstead's work transforming cities with open space took off when his plan for New York City's Central Park won a design competition. He created a slew of other major urban parks, including Rock Creek Park in Washington D.C. and Boston's Emerald Necklace. Olmstead is now considered the founder of the landscape architecture profession…

My favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday or event would have to be Eid which is the most sacred or important holiday for Muslims. On this day, I would be at home receiving many gifts, but the energy used to power the lights would be from a solar panel which would use the sun to power all the electricity being used. The oven and the gas that would be needed would also be powered by that as well. The water would come from a water bottle or a gallon of water in order to ensure that there would be no wastage of water.

What I Would Do To Help Someone In Need

If I could do anything to help people around the world, it would be creating a hospital for kids and people around the world that are in critical condition, and don't have much money. In this hospital, I would provide treatment to those in need even if they don't have health care. I hope I can achieve this goal one day to provide a spark of hope for people in critical conditions.

Hunger in Africa

I think one of the biggest food crisis in the world is in African villages. There is extreme poverty in many cities, lack of food, and dirty water. The families sometimes have to walk miles just to get water even though it is dirty. According to www.cozay.com, about 30,000 children die every day because of diseases, hunger, and dirty food, and about 20 percent of African children die before the age of because of the horrible living standards. People are… Continue

Jordan Thomas- A CNN Hero

For my hero I chose Jordan Thomas who was one of the top 10 CNN heroes of 2009. Jordan Thomas lost both of his legs when he was sixteen years old, but luckily he was able to get two fake legs attached from his knees down. He realized what so many kids around the world needed, but were needed and so he immediately went into action to create a foundation for amputees to give them new legs or ams. He has raised 400,000 dollars so far and continues to help more kids who deserve better.

What you have matters more than what you lack

My favorite secret that I learned by reading what some people wrote in Exhibit A is, what you have matters more than what you lack. If you have a bicycle, then you should think about how to use that efficently rather than how you would use a car if you could get one. If people in this world would actually think that instead of imagining, things could be more productive.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
