Future for just a girl ... but secured ...

A young woman whose name I do not want to tell, lives in Lower Saxony with her father, stepmother and 11 brothers and sisters. She visits 9th a primary school class in near Hanover. Your teachers do not see any chance for them to grasp each foot in this society, she has a 4 in German, is a 5 in English and math teachers for her the perfect candidate HARZ-IV, which will never have a job.

Well, I would not give up this young woman. I have committed myself to this school with volunteer…

Next generation....

WHICH great challenges and social problems should the EVOKE Network tackle next?

There are so many problems in this world that it difficult to say what needs to be solved in next Evoke. There would be scarcity of resources (water, energy, food, etc.), health care shortages, lack of education, violence, dictatorship, etc.

WHERE in the world should the network try to build up new EVOKE communities?

I think the best would be if EVOKE would not…

Right signal to the report...

You’re sending signals when you report, and precisely because most people don’t have a technical vocabulary, the signals matter significantly more than words and numbers.

I have so often noticed how the media have spread distorted information. Since there was it's a small dispute between the neighbors and the media see this as a chance to…

Ushahigi in Germany?

Actually there is not really something in Hanover for which I would use the platform. However, acc**ulating over the last years, weather-related crises, such as frost (power failure, heating failure, freezing, food and water shortages because not passed roads) and flooding (electricity, water and heating loss, destruction of residential areas, disease risk, homelessness). Now are the crises is not oversized problems. It should no longer be the case, could Ushahidi help us.

Alone against their regimes

It is remarkable how many women's movements exist worldwide and are fighting for equality for women. I think that bringing this efforts only slightly, if the governments and regimes to hear it. That's why I think it's very good if for example a Saudi princess Basma Bint Saud Al Saud laments her regime of inequality and also makes a reform…

Chip in the body

I believe that the trend goes in the direction of fictitious currency. Whether PayPal or credit card through enjoyment it is difficult to say. Currently I have a feeling that in Germany, anyway all the money transfer agents are networked with each other.

Perhaps it creates an organization who reduce all of paymant methods to one. And perhaps we will don't have cards,…

Only water or electricity too?

Madagascar. Trunz Water Systems supported the Swiss NGO ADES and installed pilot project: solar-powered water treatment system. The project began in 2009 and was held in St. Augustine fishing village. Apart from the electricity plant supplies the 800 l of water per hour.

Also for other African and Asian regions with lots of sun energy as an investment would be of great…

Energy innovation for everyone.

I think it is not enough if we only work on an innovative project. I think we should try, like Jessica to get energy from our daily environment. For example, many people visit in Germany, a fitness club. In 2004 there were about 5 million active members. The energy on the training for example bicycle or crossover is recovered can be reused. A Berlin fitness club is already working to try such energies But the athletes outdoors should not be forgotten.…

Food security in the region of Hannover

There are all companies, organizations and agencies that are located in the city, must to follow suit to establish the food security in the region of Hanover. The contribution of the "office" organizations could contribute to multi reducing CO2 emissions, for example by promoting the use of public transport with so-called job ticket (for example Nord LB with about 6,500 employees use this concept) or by using fuel-efficient cars or even reduction of business travel, which will be replaced by…

Future 2020

In 2020 my first daughter is already 8 and already goes to school and another child is already there. I have completed my degree and am living with my family in the city. I work in the field of process optimization and thus help the employees to facilitate their work. And I hope I'll have plenty of time to engage socially around me and work with children.

Understanding is the key ...

... only if we really understand problems, needs, culture, infrastructure etc., also all conditions, we have a chance to make a difference and improve.

What's the use if we are building solar panels, even though the children starve, or what is the use if we are building cars if there are no roads?

I think that it doesn’t matter if I want to renovate my own home or to restructure a business or to provide social assistance, the first thing I need to know what actually is desired,…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
