Script thought

While I enjoyed learning about many different issue I think that for season 2 there should be one main focus. For example

Place: The Red Light District in Calcutta or the Brothels

Learn: What people suffer through and th problems that the people face

Then we take steps to finding out about these people any and everthing about them base the missions strictly on one subject, that way people are able to really get into it. I liked season 1 but it was…

Knowledge

We are at the age of technology and will probably continue to escalate until we are old and gone, but the one thing I will want to pass on is that not everyone is as fortunate as those of us who live in a world with freedom and the technologies and education to be successful. I want my future to continue to strive to make the world a better place because even though 100 years seems like a long time, it might take that long to help other people catch up with today's technologies and bring… Continue

Oil Spill

I tried to set up one of the google site templates but I had difficulty with logging in and making a new account. So my dark spot would be over oil spills, such as the one that recently happened. Though they might not happen often when they do occurr the results can be devestating. My site would include information on how to protect yourself and your loved ones also keep an update on if the spill has traveled and where it is flowing. It will inform people on where they could go to help the… Continue

Season 2

For the upcoming season I feel that it would be a great idea to discuss war. Not only is our own country still going through one but there is war across many countries that people never hear about, whether big or small how are we supposed to stay informed if nobody is talking, anfd letting us know what is going on in the world around us.

Journalists

News crews, news casters, and journalists are always there when the story hits they are people who could easily pass the work around of the breaking news of a flu epidemic. They have contacts all over the world depending on of course where they work but they have the meens to seek out people and let them know what is going on and spread the work through many different mediums.

Panic

Out of each I liked how do people react in a panic? I also agree with it the most, with all the devestation in the world around us everyone deals with panic or a bad situation in their own way. This shows how different people handle situations, reactions and overreactions, and denial v. panic. I like denial v. panic mainly beacuse it describes each and everyone out there we all have our own way of dealing with things but if everyone understood why it is that we deal with things the way we do… Continue

Women Healers

There was a group of women in Oaxaca (Mexico) that were finally allowed after struggling with traditional doctors to form organizations to practice their own herbal, traditional remedies of sorts. Not only does that show that these women are strong and fought for their rights but has given other people the chance to learn about the non scientific way these women are helping and spreading their knowledge about this traditional medicine and herbal remedies.

Map

I imagine in 2020 Deer Park will have expanded in many ways. We will have a new building set up specifically for the emergency management office, which will have expanded providing many new jobs. Older parts will have been cleaned up thanks to having started a clean up department.

Emergency Managment

I haven't lived in Deer Park for very long and don't know much about it but what I do know is that it is a very tight community they have their own TV station that provides information concerning things that are going on in the community whether it be about the schools, the city, or an emergency it keeps you informed. Many people know about this station and that is one way people stay informed. As a researched more though I found that Deer Park also has an emergency managment office that is… Continue

ushahidi

I live in an area that deals with hurricanes and tropical storms often in any case an emergency system like ushahidi would aid in helping people get to a safe place from the storm. Also if the storm has already occurred then it would allow us to help find people that are missing or need to be rescued. Not too long ago our coast and Louisiana were effected by hurricane Rita and hurricane Ike during a time like this a system such as ushahidi would have been very helpful in saving lives and even… Continue

Women Story

Each year women are affected by many different problems, custody battles, domestic violence, not being equal in the work place. In 2020 after extensive donations and many peoples work, many women have been empowered and are learning how to safely get themselves out of violent relationships, money has been donated has allowed women to afford good lawyers to gain custody of there children, and over the years better education has proved to provide a more equal opportunity in the work place.

Helping women

There is a woman's shelter that is a safe haven for battered women and children, me and a group of friends and classmates are getting together items that can be donated, clothing and other essentials to help them. If I can find another shelter that is similar but allows people to volunteer we will also do that as well.

Adolescent girls

Women today still do not have equal rights with men, which in return effects young adolescent girls. Recently in New York International experts gathered to try and help those adolescent girl. There are many actions that can be taken by people in order to help, many Web sites offer chances to become involved or place donations. Girls in many countries suffer from poverty, discrimination, and violence much more than young boys.

Money

Recently there has been found to be a new type of exchange in Mexico that is making it easier to transfer money to and from America. It allows you to transfer money without any hassles back in forth. It has also allowed Americans to not be haggled when purchasing items in Mexico.

I don't think I can travel to a foreign place soon but last summer I went to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico with my mom. I don't understand why when shopping or buying something it is either much more expensive or much more inexpensive then at home. Much of what they sell is made in Mexico yet they try to haggle with you and raise the price when you very well know that is not worth that much. I understand needing to make a profit but when one guys sells you a bracelet for 40 America dollars then… Continue

I feel that being able to transfer money from one person to another may have a larger effect on us than we realize now. For some of us who are younger this doesn't seem to be anything new but as the system continues to perfect itself and the task of transfering money becomes broader than just between you and your bank or those who bank with you I think it will allow us to save better, pay bills better and help many other people. Im planning a huge celebration for water day 2020. In order to conserve water and celebrate doing that I'm inviting everyone to come and share how they conserve water on a daily basis, then together we will come up with a plan on how to save water. As well everyone needs to bring at least a one liter of bottled water that will be collected and given to another country who is in desperate need of clean water. Continue

Water 1st

I find water 1st to be fantastic I browsed the site back and forth and decided to email them and find out if they plan on expanding their walks and activities. I would really love to be a part of one of the activities and can't wait to here back from them. As well I am going to try donate 1 to 5 dollars a week to them.

Water 1st

I think that water 1st is an amazing idea and the way it works looks enjoyable for everyone. They have water 1st beer 2nd to help the water crisis which incorporating fun into such a problem is a great idea it allows many people to get involved. Also the walk for water seems to be a great idea, it is like trying to put yourself in someone else's shoes which I think gives you a small glimpse of what people have to do in other countries to receive clean water.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
