March 10, 2010

Today is March 10, 2010. I'm eating a sandwhich with a glass of iced tea and relaxing on the beach watching the sunset with my friends. It's about 7pm and the sun is still up in Spetses, Greece. The sandwhich i'm eating is a turkey, baloney, american cheese, cuc**bers, tomatoes, lettuse, mayo, on a toasted hero. I'm relaxing because in about 10 years from now I would be done with college and celebrating my accomplishments with my good ol' mates. Who made my sandwhich is the guy behind the…

My Garden,

Hello Evokers, I'm here to tell you that not so long ago my dad went and bought some seeds so I can plant vegetables in my backyard. I think this is very enviormental and closely related to the ACT on EVOKE. I'm planning on planting the seeds sometime this week but the weather has been so horrible I don't know if it's possible. I'm scared with all this rain that my seeds will come out of the ground. Not only that but I'm planning on planting the seeds with my best friend Katherine Gutierrez…

Food Security

I'm learning more about food security right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is "Why is food security such a big issue all around the world?" I was researching this question online and

this news article caught my attention because it explains why Africa is

suffering from food security. The title Fighting for Africa's food security, is

very interesting and relates to my question as to why is food security

such a big issue all around the world,…

Mission 1, Imagine

In 2020 I will be 26 and I'll be done with college. I hope that I'll be done with my major Global History for Highschool students. I also hope that i'll be engaged or have a good boyfriend. I also would like to make a change in the world and be someone I'm proud of. Changing yourself before changing other people for the good is a challenge and it may be hard the first time but soon enough it'll be soo easy. I think that if we start to make a change from a young age when you get older more…

Mission 1, Learn

Sovial innovations is something you do by force to improve a countrys economy and culture by using creativity. Africa is a good example of social innovation. Africa is a continent containing many contries that are under the poverty rate. I think that people should help Africa with there social, economical, and political problems by social innovation. Creative, useful, cheap, and cultural ways to imrove their problems. I think that if people the people of Africa come together as one and use…

Mission 1, Act

I just talked about social innovation and the different problems in Africa. Something I act'ed on to support myself about helping the children and people from Africa is I followed Civa Cronicles on twitter. I find interesting how many people are willing to take time out of their own lives to try and help Africa. Their all social innovators in their own way and I find it inspiring. Many people will think that trying to help another coutry besides their home contry is nothing and have no sympathy… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
