Future of Money

I think that alternative currency will have the greatest impact on the future of money. As we all know, there are a lot of impoverished communities scattered all around the world most especially in third world countries. And as such, they lack financial institutions that are willing to lend them money because these institutions fear that they may not profit out of poor communities. This can result to lack of opportunity for the people in the poor communities which can hinder the growth of…

water and people

I was particularly inspired by the "Lessons learned" category of the "Water for people website. It was wonderful to know that there are certain organizations such as this that is working to make water

easily accessible to many people but the one thing that inspired me is how those workers or volunteers of the organization became empowered and changed along the way in their encounter with the people they have helped.

One important lesson from all of this is…

Social Innovator Role Model

I choose Steve Little as my social innovator role model. He has a website called the theperfectbizfinder.com that allows him to help people get started with their own business. He gives plenty of advice to his subscribers regarding business principles. And there are times when he delivers some inspirational stories to motivate his subscribers. He is really trying to reach out to people who are asking for his help. I am really hoping that he can guide his subscribers well, and he can spread his… Continue

power saving innovation

A research team at the University of Nevada has developed a process takes de-watered sludge from a wastewater plant, and is able to efficiently dry it to the point that it can then be gasified into syngas, which can then be burned to produce electricity.

The University of Nevada research group who are moving from the lab to the real world in a demonstration-scale system to turn wastewater sludge into electricity is headed by Chuck Coronella.

food shortage in philippines 2010

My country, Philippines, especially Luzon was recently pummelled by 2 typhoons that devastated the agricultural sector. To make matters worse, the country is currently experiencing El Nino. It's a weather phenomenon that creates a major shift in rainfall,

bringing floods and landslides to arid countries and drought to areas in

the western Pacific.…

Ten years from now..

Ten years from now, I will be enjoying my life as a full time doctor and and a part time businessman. I will be practicing medicine specializing in neurology in my hometown of Cebu. I will also help my father in his restaurant business as it is growing and expanding to other locations. I will also create a business of my own depending on what is the most lucrative in this time. I will then have enough funds to create my own charitable organizations and schools. My charity will focus more on the… Continue

Choose to be positive

stay positive – don’t be distracted by what other people think (if there

were a need for it, the market would have already created it)

I think by default we are negative thinkers. Whenever things don't go our way, we usually result to thinking that we're just not up for the challenge. We're not good enough. We don't possess the necessary talent, skill, or even the appearance to accomplish that certain goal. We conclude that we are just born to be a failure, and…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
