In the year 2020, I think that we should all have a day to celebrate and thank the fact that we all have clean water to survive on. Though this sounds very childish, I think that when we have certain dates on calendars, we tend to think it is an important issue. This can help people keep in mind that water is not something we should take advantage of, it is something we should be thankful of and try to save.

A crisis that we might face in the future in New York City is the economy crisis becoming more serious. Although this is not a natural disaster like Haiti or Japan, this is a very serious issue, because if the economy falls apart, the country cannot stand. Of course, this isn't only in New York, it's all over the world. But because it is so widely spread, we must find a cure, or a resolution. Natural disasters, such as floods are also something we New Yorkers might face in the future.

Ways you can help out people who are working on the water crisis is by donating money, and helping them try and find new ideas to motivate people to act upon this issue. Also, people need to try and understand that this is a crisis, not just something that people are making a big deal about.

It is difficult to try and convince people to try and make the Earth clean. Humans are very selfish people, and they tend to only care about themselves. Although trying to make the world a better place helps all of us in the end, people don't seem to really see that since its a long term effect. I think the best idea for a water crisis would be an idea that can have people learn the importance of having water, and understand what it really means to not have something that is crucial to your… Continue

I think it is very stressing that women are trying so hard to change the world and its unfair ways but is getting very little progress done. Any time a person tries to make a change in the world, there are always people that go against it. I feel like it is harder for women to get their ways because people tend to underestimate their ideas and look down upon it as to when men try to perform an idea.

I would donate money if I had any money to the "Vital Job-Skills Training For 500 Afghan Women" because if you get job training and get a job, you won't have to rely on donations all the time, and you can try to get a job to stable yourself. Education is important of course, but I think that in a situation where you have no money, getting a job is the first priority even if getting an education can get you a better job.

When I went to Japan over the summer, I had brought dollar money with me from NY. Because I did not have any yen, I had to convert the dollar to yen. This changed my perspective on money because I realized how much of a difference the worth is in different countries.

In the future, I think that we will not have anymore paper money like we do now; but have something more like a credit card for everyone. It reduces cutting down of trees and carrying of bills. With everything in the world becoming more and more digital, I wouldn't be surprised if money itself became more digital.

In the year 2020, I'm going to be old enough to pretty much do whatever I want, unlike now with all these underage limitations. As much as I like to be with people all the time, for holidays, I usually like to spend it more in a special way at home, or somewhere not so crazy. We'll see how my personality is by the time I'm 28, but seeing how I haven't really changed much since I was little, I don't think I'll change much in the future either. I'd love to spend New Years at a concert with… Continue

One person I know that is trying to save electricity is this guy I saw in a doc**entary a friend of my dad's made. He is a very eco-friendly person who lost his job because of the economic situation in our country, and so he started to become very interested in saving electricity. In his house, he barely ever use the lights anymore, and he has sold his car and made a bicycle entirely out of bamboo. He has started a business out of this by helping others make their own bamboo bicycles.

In March 2020, I am standing in the kitchen making food for two. There's not a lot to choose from knowing how picky the other person is, but I try to cut the vegetables as small as possible to hide them in the food. He calls from the living room to ask what I am making, and I quickly dump the cut vegetables in the pasta sauce. The timer goes off for the pasta. I see from the corner of my eye as I wash the knife that someone turns off the timer for me. Damn, I should've mixed the sauce earlier;… Continue

Ways you can help with the food security problem is making our own food. Like all of us did in the old days, we need to start growing our own vegetables and stop relying on mcdonalds so much. By doing this, we can help the Earth become more green, and have more food for ourselves and we can eat more healthy. It also helps us understand that food and water are something we should cherish, not take for granted.

I think the biggest food security problem that is around me is pretty much Queens, or even NY in general. With the prices of food and drinks going up sky high, a lot of people are starting to not be able to

afford food. I think one solution to this problem is for New Yorkers to

try and make their own food. Although that is hard to do in a place

full of pollution like NY, I think it's worth a try.

I'm learning more about food… Continue

I liked the idea that you can't see problems from afar because that is very true in every aspect in life. The grass is always greener on the other side, and big deals seem small when you are seeing it from the other side. I think this relates to the idea that you should not judge a book by its cover because you do not know the pages of the book and what kind of problems people or places might be going through.

On March 9Th, 2020, I am in New York, waking up in a small apartment

in the city. I get out of my bed, and walk to the bathroom. I look in

my mirror to see my face. I am 27 years old now, almost 28. Nothing

really much has changed within me over the last ten years. Only my

physical look has took a turn; I am now an adult, time only creating

age and small steps to death. I know I still have time in my hands,

but the last 28 years seemed to pass by so fast; I'm… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
