A crash course in changing the world.

Choosing a leader

I spent several days reading choices made by others, evaluating my wants, needs, and desires before I found three leaders out of so many that appeal to me.

I don’t put any of them on a pedestal but they do stir my emotions and make me want to be better. That is certainly enough!

So who are they? They are just people following the roads they chose, using the skills and knowledge they have, facing life the best they can-while learning day to day, like we all do.

  1. Piers Anthony- a writer among many I enjoy. His writing enchants me.

His Xanth series is just one of his fantastic, fantasy efforts. As A writer I’ve seen him try new approaches with different genres of writing. My admiration and a few attempts at light imitation adds him to my list

  1. Tony Rockliff, one of the original founders of Cybertown.com

I have my first response from Tony :)

"Wow - thanks so much!! :)

Tony"

I’ve known him online for over ten years. We almost met in Florida, one year but it didn’t happen. He has worked on creating and managing the best 3D social site on the web. It continues to survive against great odds. It is a game, yet not a game. Members can choose to take or even create jobs, learn, explore and meet some of the coolest people in the world.

  1. Barack Obama, President of the United States of America

A man of the times in the right place with the right approach brought hope back to America. He still has my faith and belief in attempting the improbable which becomes just possible with him. I’ll watch with hope and interest as he tries to bring sanity to a congress too focused on political advantage. Whatever he does achieve, he is an innovator.

How will I follow them?

Piers Anthony through his books and website.

Tony Rockcliff through facebook, the cybertown website where I’m a non-paid working member and editor of the Daily News and I am in email contact too. Lol it will be fun to send him this article.

Barack Obama, through the news and many democratic websites of which I’m a member. I actually worked for his campaign, one day, and supported his campaign vocally, often, although my wife spent far more time than I working at the Democratic county office.

Good choices, John. I'm pleased you've had a response already from Tony Rockliff. Have you had any further correspondence?

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
