Adobe moon caccoons
As I was searching the web for cool things, as I often do, I found this link: http://calearth.org/building-designs/eco-dome.html
They are little adobe huts made out of earth, coiled around in modified sandbags, and can be built quickly and provide shelter from the elements, particularly after a large-scale disaster. They are kind of smallish, but I think they are cute! They remind me a little of Park Guell, an experimental village built by Gaudi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Park_Guell ; The Wikipedia pictures do not do it justice, so look here, also: http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/albums-en/gaudi-park-guel... . Can you just imagine building a little village full of these huts and then painting them, Gaudi-esque style? Beautiful!

i agree those are beautiful little houses. unlike alot of disaster relief setups they don't look unpleasant to live in. it seems like a lot of disaster buildings are kind of. . . demeaning? to the people who live in them (fema trailers UN tents.) i really admire the efforts of architects and engineers to find ways of building emergency shelters that don't necessarily make someone feel like a refugee. because if someone doesn't feel like a refugee the have more of a chance to feel like a carpenter or a student or an inventer.

Fourth of July on the Lake

The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
