Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Answers to Agent Jake Baird's Questions

1) How did you hear about the EVOKE network, and what made you decide to join?

From a Friend – Siena Anstis. She sent me mail telling me about EVOKE and asking me whether I was interested in Joining. I read about it more on the Blog and sounded interesting! Now, here I am!

2) Name one person on here you got to know or would like to get to know?

Well, if I started mentioning, the list is ENDLESS! I don’t know anyone personally on the network. But there are very many people who are inspirational. Every time I read their posts, I see the
power to build a better tomorrow.

In simple terms, I would like to know and hear from those innovative visionaries - you!!

3) What is the worst crisis to you in the world currently that requires Evoke's attention?

The Digital Divide! The GAP between the INFORMATION HAVES and HAVENOTS.

The world is currently registering major political, social and economic developments and setbacks. The information age is demanding for creation of more information recourses. And sharing of more
information. It’s a big shame that in many communities this need has not been realized.
And in some communities access remains a very big challenge.

In my opinion, information access and networking is the climbing step to solving a wide range of crises in the world.

4) What is your background? Where were you raised, city or farm?

I am a Ugandan born and raised here in Uganda. I spent the first 10 years of my life in a small trading centre in Masaka district. My parents were civil servants so
they worked on appointments. I sort of grew up on a FARM and the City. I was brought up in a small trading center where agriculture was the major economic activity. And Later to the city.

I have spent the past 18 years in School. Education is key here. I have gone through Primary, Ordinary and Secondary and recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Two years ago I go
actively involved in the ICT4 Development sector here in Uganda. Working
closely with the communities with more emphasis on the Youth.

I am very enthusiastic about communities, Technology and Development. Over the years I have facilitated as an ICT practical skills trainer on using ICTs to access and disseminated information. With special interest
in New Media and Youth, also analyzing the DIGITAL DIVIDE and how its impacting
the Youth.

5) Find a quote that inspires you that might inspire others.

Some people struggle to find happiness, others CREATE IT!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
