Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I'm going to start by saying that the biggest problem in helping your African or Chinese neighbor is accepting him the way he is.

Before all the financial or resource problems that one people may have, stands
their culture. Who they are is ten times more important that what they are
going to eat. It may seem rather disturbing when reading the surface of this
statement, but if you try to dive deeper into the idea, you'll understand that
before giving someone a piece of bread, you have to know how to approach that
someone, how to make him understand that your intentions are good and that he
can only gain if he accepts the offer.

We are different in so many ways. We have different cultures, traditions,
national artists and further more different and individual ideas, ways of life,
values and targets.

Let's try to focus on WHO we want to help and make our way around having this
as a starting point, rather than beginning with what we can provide. What
we can do for someone is directly influenced by what that someone needs and is
used to. Don't try to give away metallic structures to people that live in
wooden homes; because they like those homes, it's their culture, their history.
Try to improve that wooden home; maybe offer some thermal isolation for a
wooden home.

Bottom line, we need to fully understand and make friends with the ones in need
of help, before we can provide any.

I agree completely. So many wasted efforts because people try to help abroad the way they would help locally. Different cultures have different needs and different ways to solve those needs.Sometimes helping people locally is not just easier but more efficient since you can have a better idea of what would work so you save the time (and resources) of researching it

I invite you to read further about my thoughts on this in my blog post: http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/making-a-positive-change-for

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
