Food shortage in Colorado Springs

Even in the year 2010, many households in America do not have Food Security. This year the Care and Share food banks in Colorado are having to reduce their operations by as much as 33%. Also Kathy
Underhill, executive director of the Colorado
Coalition to End Hunger was quoted in the Colorado Springs Gazette saying, "One in four-and-a-half households are reporting food hardships”. Even in light of this news Colorado only ranks 30 on the list of states with "food hardship", meaning other states are having even more problems these days. Care and share however plans to hold numerous food drives this year to try and replenish their storage level back to previous levels.
