Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Maxwell wants low maintanence plants planted in beds on the sunny side of his house. Plus he keeps plants on covered porch that need to be repotted
.
Soil is sandy. Amendments used - composted cow manure, mushroom compost, chicken manure, fertrell all natural fertilzer. Plants to be installed - pineapples, aloe vera, ferns, some lemongrass, an agave, some pine shrub things, some lilies and other bulb flowers that were already there.

The layout will have four beds on the northeast part of the property. There are to be a bed of ferns, pineapples, 2 beds of aloe vera, bed of bulbs and an herb garden. There is a tree that will have the lillies installed around the base and maybe a some ferns. The lemongrass will go with the pineapples.

The current state of the beds are in need of nutrients and some bulking up. The herb bed will be the most work. There are three inches of large river pebbles along with he dirt. The pineapple bed has the same river pebbles but not as severe. The bed of bulbs is mostly sandy and already has bulbs in part of it all bunched up and have been whacked by a landscaper. This bed will be extended and the bulbs pulled out. The fern bad already has ferns in it that were also whacked by a landscaper, the roots are still intact so I won't till this bed. There are also a few large plants from the porch that will be planted in the front yard in a shady area the soil there is good enough.

I am adding the amendments to the herb, pineapple, bulb flower and aloe beds by tilling it in. The ferns will topped with amendments and new ferns planted evenly spaced to encourage spreading. The lily bed will be amended using the hand cultivator and lilies will planted in a circle.

The herb bed mulch with bahia grass hey and will be stocked as seedlings are ready. I will see that it weed ed regularly. The rest of the beds will need minimal upkeep such as an occasional watering.

This was really more of a time bank experience than a food security. I traded time for work on my pc for consultation and labor for my friends yard. He definitely got the better of the deal, he spent 3 hours on my pc but I spent 10 hours on his yard. The task difficulty was higher on my end. All the pc actually needed some new drives but I didn't have anyway way to know until we changed them out with some different ones. I have since then learned how to be self reliant on the in and outs on my computer and how to find the fixes I need.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
