What I learnt : is that a PRE_LAUNCHED AWARENESS can save the day(s) and goes a long way...

Each of the following elements can be done better by people what have had a briefing before hand, and made aware to understand the components of a disaster, its making and its accelerated unpredictable events....and how to deal with them.

· Predict and Prepare

· Assign names and roles

· Assign community volunteers

· Identify communications channels to meet, identify, put plan of action with available resources.

· Keep moral and trust high, psychological factor plays a major role in life situations and survival. Wisdom should be exercised giving info to reports, this starts under preparatory phase “outreach” to spread community awareness. Community includes reporters.

· Deal immediately with the spread of incorrect news. Correct reporting = good solving

· Dealing with disaster, variables are large. Identify and limit variables to solve. Understand each and every single variable to know how to deal with it.

· It’s important to save lives first, before public acceptance – no harm in calming techniques, as long as saving life is first.

· Don’t generalized, things can take a different path. Improvise but judge well.

· Use head not heart

· Issue your own official press releases and announce exclusivity to official and credible updates.
