Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Imagine1- What 2020 looks like - Community Education

I wake up at the same time every day. 4 30 am. I pull on my clothes and walk outside to the field. I call out to the cow, milk and feed her. I spend some time grooming her, entirely focused on the task at hand, my own brand of meditation. By the time I am done, the sun is only barely tinting the sky. I come back with the milk and set it at the pantry while I get my breakfast ready. I go to the coop to collect eggs and feed the chickens, then come back to my cup of coffee, fried eggs and fresh fruit.

This week's school monitor comes by my house to pick up the school keys. The school monitor is a student that is responsible for the school during the week, and this task rotates between everyone in the school. The smallest ones are paired up with mentors to coach them on this role. I am the guide for this school. It is a Montessori based preschool, primary and secondary. Secondary students are interns for farms and small businesses in the surrounding areas where the school is investing . They are mentors for the primary students, and primary students are mentors for students in the lower ages. We don't have a high population of students, just the ones that come from local families, but they are very dedicated and engaged. Our school is self sustaining thanks to the businesses we invest in, and the community has grown closer as a result.

Our school day ends at 2 pm, after our lunch. We dedicate an hour to lunch and conversations, wrapping up our day. Monitor stays behind with his collaborators to leave the class ready for the next day.

For most days, I walk back and then the afternoon is dedicated to my other activities. I have days where I sew, knit or build. Others when I do general housekeeping. Others where I sit outside and read, or think, or enjoy the afternoon with company. Some days we have community meetings at the school, to discuss upcoming projects, brainstorm about new ideas, or for workshops where we learn different crafts.

On weekends I go to the beach for the day, or visit friends in other communities.

I am constantly communicating with my friends, and our activities are doc**ented daily and shared with other similar schools and communities around the world. We also travel and share experiences, helping other communities replicate this model.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
