Innovation (often) comes from constraint (If you’ve got very few resources, you’re forced to be very creative in using and reusing them.)
The first secret right from the start, to me carries the deepest meaning of them all. I allways thought, that once you can do anything, you wont actually do nothing and I have experienced it on myself as well. So I think, that the best innovation and the most creative solution is not simulated in an ideal world with ideal conditions. MacGuyver knew this, thats why he used only his swiss army knife. Anybody can be a superhero, when they have a trillion dollars at their disposal (Batman?). But the real creativity shows only once you have limited resources and/or time.
So, as a group of nordic playwrigths called Vi aker jeep (jeepen.org) says: "Restrictions foster creativity"
