1. Wind energy in the places where it will have the most impact.
2. Harnessing wave energy in coastal areas.
3. Solar - Can the Sahara power Europe?
4. The really new cool stuff, like water into energy, etc.
There are many new exciting areas we can explore for new energy sources.
Now to my point. Realize this isn't my best issue.
We need to put a plan into place that slowly modifies the behavior of the high energy users of the world now. Start with incentives like the meter above to make people aware. Then reward them for downgrading their energy use. Make appliances more efficient. Tax use more heavily, etc.
My worry in this endgame scenario is that if we don't begin to wean the haves, they will crush the have nots in the event of a major life impacting circ**stance change.
