A crash course in changing the world.

Four years ago from now and not in the future, I left my job on government and politics to strat my own company: Club De La Pelea a Mixed Martial Arts and Combats Sports Gym, Entertainment, clothing, health and all that becomes to the industry and improving lifestyles from the particular and fun sight.

Know after three years working it`s time to move and grow, so I found this great idea from Club Watt the very first Sustainable Dance Club in Rotterdam. Made from a fusion of electronics, embedded software and smart durable materials, the dance floor will convert the dance crowd's movements into electricity, using the generated power to change the appearance of the floor’s surface. The energy-generating dance floor can also generate feedback to other systems that use electricity, such as sound systems. The technology was developed by collaboration between Enviu, Delft University of Technology, Ecofys (a sustainable energy solutions company) and Rotterdam-based Studio Roosegaarde. (http://www.fastcompany.com/blog/rachel-king/geek-style/dancing-new...)

I can so easily imagine all the fighters from boxing, kick boxing, MMA, jumping rope above the sustainable fight floor; Fighters also have fun, and ofcourse to grow our base of female partners enjoying training and fitness and becoming more healthy thanks to a flashing floor.

The idea of producing energy from ciclying is not new, but now can be a small growing business as done at the greenmicrogym in Portland (shown by BBC); or the California Gym at Hong Kong. A ciclist can develop energy enogh to:

  • Power a typical desktop computer for approximately 26 hours.
  • Heat a traditional electric oven to 350 degrees for approximately One hour and 57 minutes.
    • You could run a toaster oven for almost 12 hours using the same amount of energy, use your toaster oven for small meals!
  • Power a standard refrigerator for about 50 hours.
  • Power a central AC system (2.5 tons) for about 66 minutes. Yikes, just 66 minutes! That’s why it's so important to keep your AC at a comfortable, yet moderate temperature.
  • Power an electric clothes dryer for just 72 minutes.

But those are small scale projects, also I can imagine a gym area powered by humans in Mexico City; but let´s dream and think for planning something like the "Human Powered River" a futuristic proposal from architect Mitchel Joachim (www.archinode.com/gym.html) for New York City. Create energy as a social contirbution to environment and the Civic life of the City, I think we can try that for every small, medium and large City, a wh*** metropolis doing execise and doing it´s contribution for social health, enforce social capital and community consciousness, shifting energy.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
