Women in Lebanon just took part in a graduation ceremony. The school focused on teaching literacy to a group of women in one village. The curriculum was based around "
reproductive health, gender-based violence, economic empowerment, rights and women's participation." One women is quoted in the article sharing her sense of pride in herself and her new education. As an added bonus, it allows women to participate politically too as the women are able to sign their names in the elections.
