Natural Gas, a game changer: from T. Boone Pickens!

Dear Evoke Agents,

Please have a look at my new Evidence; Natural Gas, a game changer: from T. Boone Pickens!

The US is experiencing a major wave of natural gas discoveries that accelerated with Chesapeake Energy’s development of shale plays in, Haynesville, Marcellus, Barnett and Fayetteville. Discoveries, of Chesapeake and many others in shale plays, are so important, and the market not ready to absorb in a short term basis, that since initial announcements in June 2008, the price of Natural Gas went from more than $13 to around $4 now. Many other projects are showing the same very high drilling rate of success.

As per T. Boone Pickens’s presentation, these new discoveries of natural gas are a game changer for the world. A new report by JP Morgan shows that new drilling technologies have expanded U.S. natural gas resources to an estimated 8 trillion cubic feet – enough to power the entire country for hundreds of years.

Pickens, an established oil and gas investor, says natural gas is an energy source that will completely change the international energy landscape. You can read the full story at:

Again it will take time to build all necessary infrastructures to switch from oil to natural gas, and clean coal, and wind, and solar but some options are available.

Some solutions already exist, even if only for a portion of the problem.

I will be back later with more ideas to help reducing the negative impacts of peak oil!

Natural Gas is a good way to lower costs, but it is fundamentally the same as oil (though a little cleaner). and so, it solves the issue of the oil shortage, but it is still not a renewable resource. it will pollute, and it will eventually run out.
On the other hand, it may be a good short term solution to take the power out of the hands of non democratic countries with oil and into the hands of the democracies.

Hello Omri, Thanks for taking the time, I agree with you that Natural Gas is not the perfect solution, because of polution and depletion, but at least it is a practical solution on a large scale, it may bring local security of energy sources, for some countries, and will give us all some time to develop the renewable process needed, To have 50 years to develop The solution gives more flexibility than to have only 5,

+1 KS. Agent Sylvain, please read my blog on the Doomsday Fuel Debate and please leave a comment on your thoughts regarding your findings on natural gas expecially as it seems that much of the drilling for natural gas depends on fossil fuels.

Reductions in oil dependency will probably be helpful economically and socially, though a switch to renewable/sustainable is a must. Otherwise, a hundred years from now there will be a Natural Gas Shortage leading to the same game all over again.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
