What is a way to help our current economic situation? Well, In my opinion it begins two ways, first, by lowering taxes for those stricken by poverty. Second is giving those people a purpose, a job, something to pend their time doing instead of wasting it just slumped about.
If those who don't have money, start a family, their children are unknowingly cursed with their very same burden, and have had no say. Why add to that burden by giving them their parents debt and so on? Why not just lower the taxes of those who barely make money, until they are back on their feet and ready to make a change in their life. The second part of my solution is just that change that every single person could easily do, turn trash into money.
In Jakarta Indonesia, within multiple Kampungs (or villages) inside it's
borders, are trash heaps like this one. People make their houses out of
the trash they gather, and whatever else they may find. Instead of
using the garbage to that purpose, they could sell it. Which they happen
to already do (after cleaning them that is), the trash is then used to
re-make whatever it was first made out of. Or, as a friend of mine once
did, they use caparison packets to make big plastic bags, which are 100%
trash but 100% clean. They are bought and the money is given to those
who collect, wash and sew the trash into a bag. At one point in time I
helped sell these bags, among do other things to help improve climate
and living situations for these people. If everyone all over the world
did this, then they could easily make over $2 and probably make $10 a
bag, or even more, which when added to working on them a total day can
equal up to almost $200 a day. Imagine how the economy would improve? If
just by selling and recycling trash.
If both of these things were to be done the economy would slowly rise up from it's downfall, I've witnessed it myself. I've seen and helped these people sell their designs and their trash and make real money, and even when Jakarta had a horrible economy, a lot of it's peoples lives improved, and they no longer lived in trash homes.
