A crash course in changing the world.

' stay positive – don’t be distracted by what other people think (if there were a need for it, the market would have already created it) '

First of all I have to admit the the notion of social innovation s somewhat blurry for me, so I would want to start with some sort of clarification. To me, social innovation means a movement, an idea, a business or something else that define or change a society in the sens of making it better. It doesn't have to be something unheard of and it can come from within that group or from an external source, it can be planed or it can happen spontaneously.
Now, I believe that most ideas that lead to some form of social innovation are simple and therefor appealing, are mostly based on existing platforms and do not fight local culture. Moreover I believe that no one can revolutionize a society that one does not know or understand.

All this being said I find the quote is the most important trait of any one who has ever come up with something that really made a difference. How many saw the relevance of internet, for example, and imagine now our world without it!

No matter if is big or small, idealistic or feasible YOU have to stand by YOUR idea, cause if you don't believe in it, who will? And if you believe in it enough to share it with the world than there is high chance you'll find at least someone who believes in it also. It all starts with having one follower! This does not mean all it takes is confidence and a positive attitude, but the more people stay positive and stand by their ideas or projects the possibility to find something that will make a difference increases.

To conclude i would like to make my own list of a social inventor's secrets: appreciate every culture and try not to judge it by your own beliefs; interact with the group you are trying to help; don't assume you know better; think outside the box - think as a child (use your knowledge but do not let it limit you're options. Be creative); believe in your self and believe in others and always STAY POSITIVE!

Now... I didn't exactly changed the world (yet) so I might be wrong, but this is my idea and I stand by it!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
