Terrorism and rain in Germany
Ushahidi is a great platform in my opinion. Hopefully it will help a lot of people in the future.
The most urgent fear in Germany is terrorism at the moment. After the dead of Bin Laden the terrorist are angry and there was a warning for Germany.
To collect information for the Ushahidi network I would track the data of potential terrorists who are under suspicion.
In case of an attack information can be shared immediately. People can be warned not to go to endangered places and first aid information can be given right away. If someone has seen the person who is in charge of the attack information about the appearance can also be shared on the platform. Advice concerning the best behavior in case of an attack can also be spread.
Nevertheless there are sometimes heavy rains in Germany and the levels of the rivers go up. In case of this natural disaster ushahidi could help to spread information and to give a warning that people who are living near the rivers should be evacuated immediately.
But hopefully Germany stays without these troubles
