Human trafficking: the selling of persons for material use, eg. labour, organs, sex. May be temporary or permanent.
Demographics most trafficked: women and children.
Egypt and human trafficking: Egypt is a geographical middle ground between three continents. Two of these continents are Africa and the 'middle eastern' area of Asia. This geographical fact may be way Egypt is a hub for human trafficking.
Recent Activity: Egyptian legislature has passed recognizing organ trafficking as human trafficking, and an improvement in child criminal law including raising the minimum legal age of adulthood to 18.
Predicted productivity of the law: reserved. The spirit of the law in action is considered to require addressing the root causes of human trafficking. Poverty, unemployment, and gender discrimination are cited as the main causes.

I suggest that male adult illiteracy is a main cause of human trafficking, indirectly and directly. Indirectly though contributing to the misfortunes cited above (poverty, unemployment, and gender discrimination). Illiteracy directly contributes to human trafficking by denying persons the trained ability to critically value issues beyond limited first-personal scope.
I will take it on assumption that the reader agrees that education, especially in the humanities, enables us to evaluate perspectives dissimilar to our own. Directly following this assumption, adult education will be crucial in combating human trafficking directly through the heads of potential traffickers and accomplices.

What Egypt should do: Educate adult males as part of a wider adult education initiative.
Why: To expand the moral consciousness of an integral part of world human trafficking - Egyptian males, especially fathers.
Anticipated misgiving: The male Egyptian culture is not ready; too great a gap exists in the moral culture.
Reply: In the film industry, male Egyptian culture is in some ways more moral than in the west. Egyptian movies regularly emphasize violence and sex as sources of guilt and consequences. Hollywood tend to glorify both, conspicuously de-emphasizing guilt and consequences. Egyptian male culture includes a conscience that is likely more sensitive than ours in some ways.

How Egypt currently views adult education: "Egypt views education as a
basis for its national security and believes that human development generally and education particularly is its approach to achieve sustainable development and maximize the benefits for the entire layers
of the Egyptian community."
Signs of commitment to adult education: willingness to use incentives to attract adult students. Executing post education strategies to decrease chances of returns to illiteracy.
Gaps and opportunities:
Problems recognized in current programs include boredom and dissociation between education and daily life. Opining is not boring, and is one lung of the humanities (the other being listening). Let education include the judging of arguments, and let the discussion govern over issues that affect daily life. Let participation be marked on demonstrated ability to listen, as well as opine.
Content of course material may be employed to inculcate an educated moral compass. Egyptian adult education already takes this opportunity with health; some reading content in literacy programs constitutes basic health knowledge.
The idea of inculcating virtuous habits of mind already has a precedent in current Egyptian adult literacy programs as well. One cited criterion for quality education is inculcating the capacity for forgiveness and acceptance of the other.

Summary: Addressing adult illiteracy in Egyptian men is a direct and indirect strategy for combating world human trafficking. The humanities and critical thinking are an important part of the suggested educational strategy.
Egypt's interest in adult literacy stems in part from a desire that it's populace be responsive to globalization. Big, viral, ethical ideas are a large part of globalization. Let adult education help the men of Egypt be part of them.
