Well, to start off:
- I composted for the FIRST TIME ever!
- I picked up a can that i found on the side of the road...
- Debated employers responsibilities on how they need to treat workers.
- Yelled at a dude who used "That's so gay," in three sentences in a row.
- Bought a raffle ticket for a gift certificate to a restaurant who's proceeds go to Haiti relief.
So, my day so far has been comprised of 5 small acts, which added up to me feeling pretty damn good about myself by the end of the day.
I've been saying this more than I say my name in the past couple of days, but every small thing that you do to contribute to the world really does have an impact. This revelation is so liberating and inspiring.
Further, I have just been cast in Jason Robert Brown's "Songs For A New World", a musical, with not as much as a plot as a general theme of getting through hard times. The show is going to be a benefit for Haiti, and other special interest groups on campus, because the show has a beautiful message that is universal. My evokations, as I have said, are through performance, and this is what I am acting on now.
Anyone in Eastern upstate New York? Come see "Songs For A New World" ant Bard College in Red Hook, New York April 9th-11th at 8p.m.
Once again, Peace and blessings,
-Matt-
