Out of all the points in that doc**ent, realizing the importance of what I have was the one tolken of knowledge that spoke to me above all others. Every day I find myself wishing I had something else in order to fulfill a task, a goal or even a dream. It's tough sometimes to see what you're capable of, when it always feels like something is lacking, but this applies to all aspects of your life, not just social innovation. If someone else can fix your DVD player, then why can't you? With the right drive, anything is possible regardless of not having the most optimal tools right now.
So how can I apply this to social innovation? By looking in my own back yard. We are all capable of mcguiver-ing a solution, and in places of poverty everything is mcguivered together. So the key here is to show people how to solve a program with thier limited materials, and the best way to do it.
As far as I'm concerned, I need to remeber that whatever problem I'm working on, I probably can solve it with the items, materials and know how I Lready have, or can attain cheaply.
