A crash course in changing the world.
Representatives from The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP) came together on April 4th to discuss their contribution to the ongoing intergovernmental discussions on the post-2015 development agenda, the successor framework to the Millennium Development Goals. They stressed the imporatnace of finished up the jobs of the Millennium Development Goals that are set to expire in 2015 and to keep the progress going on a broader scale. There are deeper issues such as malnutrition and sustainable and inclusive food systems that need to be addressed.
