Ten years ago, in 2010, supporters of World Water Day staged a spectacular event: a G*****ss-Record breaking world's largest toilet line, to bring attention to the need for clean water and sanitation.
Now it's March 24, 2020 and Alchemy wants YOU to help plan a spectacular, top secret event reminding the world of the importance of water security.
What will you ask the wh*** planet to join forces to do on World Water Day 2020?
The key to this mission: Make it big, fun and memorable. How will YOU capture the world's attention?

If I have to imagine about 'Happy World Water Day 2020' I see a big event around the globe. I would like to suggest that similar activities are happening at the same day to the same time on every continent. That means at least 7 and not exceeding 14 events (=2 for one continent).
First of all famous people are needed who support this event. At all locations there would be a big concert which is free of cost for everyone. Participants need only to take over a 'water-sponsorship'. That means to support an idea which is presented at the same area of the concert by different organizations, pupils, students, researchers, scientists etc. Such support could include for example:
take pictures of relevant information, write an article/book,draw a picture/cartoon, make a film, perform a little play, arrange a discussion, trigger an action and of course donate some money or buy equipment (e.g. lifesaver bottle) for the poorest of the poor so they are provided to improve their quality of life.
This world wide event could maybe take up to 3 or 4 days. During this time the projects which will show use and behave of humans and water are focused and shaped up. Socialites act as patrons, sponsors and helpers. Each age group should be adressed. For musical spectrum at these days stars of every genre will gave their best to celebrate 'Happy World Water Day 2020' and to do a really great performance.
Comment by Jens Kortegast on Sunday I would make an event in the sewers of big cites. It’s much closer to the original topic and it is an great interesting location.
My event would be on a beach with plenty of sports activities and food and drink stands. It would be free but there will be donation boxes placed at every stand or activity. There would be big dances and lots of prizes to be won for people who donated over $2. The music would be loud and happy and everyone would be able to dance and sing along.
Comment by Xanthe Koorey on May 1, 2012 at 11:25pm I would have the event at a beach, and there would be a cornered off area for inflatable toys and kayaks. The event would be free, but little shops, cafes and markets would sit on the perimeter of the beach for people to enjoy. Volunteers would walk around asking if people would like to dontate.
When night comes, music would play loudly for everyone to dance to, and shows and dances would be performed on a stage.
Comment by Danielle Millar on April 24, 2012 at 12:09am I would have an event at a river/lake and have river swings and waterslides and everyone could play or swim in the river/lake and there would be inflatable fun stuff for everyone. Everyone would have a chance to donate at the end and I would make sure it was very fun and enjoyable.
I would have a park event, like a fair but alot of it free, with free waterand donation boxes. and people would be having fun and DJ's and host's to make it worth it and peple actually enjoy themselfs. and some movies about water and other problems around the world
Comment by Maeve Burns on April 23, 2012 at 4:10am I would have a beach event, like a party with talks and donation boxes, perhaps with movies on water and sanitation. Something fun, so people actually enjoy it and come. But not splashing out on big things.
