A crash course in changing the world.
(just a note that I did not take this picture, it can be found in the files here http://orion.uwaterloo.ca/~hwolkowi/henry/reports/talks.d/t08talks.d/08mopta.d/pics.d/Alexpics.d/)
However, I thought I would share this with all of you. This building is called "The Bullring" and is located on my campus at the University Of Guelph. It's titled 'your on campus living room' but it is so much more. Our campus makes attempts to go as green as possible, and this building is definitely no exception.
Not only does it serve GREAT food, it is completely solar and wind generated "Bullfrog Power" they call it. They also use real cutlery and plates, and for their take out ware they have utensils made out of potato starch, and sustainable paper products for carryout containers. They strive to have these products as biodegradable as possible, and even so discourage their use as much as possible.
