The city can use their money to rebuild the buildings and stores. If New York experiences an earthquake, the buildings might be damaged and they need to be fixed, to get on with life.

Urban Resilience

Hurricanes can happen in New York and if it does, part of the city can be flooded. Resilience means to go back to original form after being bent or compressed. When a city faces a natural disaster, houses and buildings can be damaged. A tornado for example, can destroy many houses and leave people homeless. But, with a resilience plan, the city can go back to the way it was. In this week's Urban Resilience, we saw people rebuilding a city and working together. I think support from all the… Continue

My city will have an emergency escape route just incase of natural disasters. There will be an underground passageway that leads to a field outside the city. There will be plenty of drinks and food in the tunnels. The tunnel walls and ceilings will be reinforced with 10 feet thick walls of iron and pillars to keep the tunnel from collapsing. The buildings on the ground level will be designed to take less damage from earthquakes so repair costs will be significantly lower. Also, in the middle of… Continue

Helping Women

I chose the group: Help an Afghan Woman Escape to Safety because it has to do with human rights. If she does not feel safe in the area she is living in, she should have at least have hope to be sure she can get to safety. She had $1580 donated from 16 different people but she needs a lot more. She reported her husband for murder and he is constantly tracking her down trying to get to her. She isn't safe. Here is a link to her page:… Continue

I would have a bunch of water rides set up all over the world so that most people can enjoy the refreshing feel of water. There will also be a beach so that people can swim in the ocean. For people who don't like sea water, there will be a giant pool with currents, slides, and diving boards.

It is June 18th 2020. It is The Great War Memorial Day. Everyone takes a day off from work and there is no school for children. There was a war between world powers lasting from 2012 to 2016. The four long years of war took the lives of civilians and soldiers. To honor the lost, we take the day off from work. There is a peace treaty to call the truce between the U.S. and Russia. There will not be anymore fighting for a while until someone breaks the treaty.

Women and Children Suffer from Malnutrition

I'm learning more of women's

rights right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: Why do

women in some countries have less rights than men? I was researching

this question online, and this post caught my attention.

"About 530,000 children younger than five and more than a million women need

urgent nutritional support in the Democratic Republic of Congo, says

the Ministry of Health.(..)WFP is also providing…

Food Shortage

Food shortage can be a problem anywhere

in the world. Africa is being hit hard because of food shortage. Also,

some people living in Queens are demanding emergency food because they

are "food insecure" meaning they are not sure when they will get their

next meal. This is a big problem. Families have to pay rent, electric

and gas bill, etc. but if they cannot afford to buy food, how will they

survive? We need to help those in need. It…

In 2020, I will be working for South Korea's government. At a young age, I was scouted by a secret organization that works on destroying threats to civilians. Because of my impeccable aim and quick thinking, by 2015, I was a team leader for counter-terrorists. My main job is to scout enemy snipers and neutralize them. There is a threat to the Prime Minister of North Korea. An assassination to the Prime Minister of North Korea will mean war for the North and South so this must be prevented at… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
