Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Food shortage can be a problem anywhere
in the world. Africa is being hit hard because of food shortage. Also,
some people living in Queens are demanding emergency food because they
are "food insecure" meaning they are not sure when they will get their
next meal. This is a big problem. Families have to pay rent, electric
and gas bill, etc. but if they cannot afford to buy food, how will they
survive? We need to help those in need. It may be hard for us to donate
because of the bad economy but we should at least try our best to help
those less fortunate than us.

I'm learning more about demands for emergency meals and food right now, and in particular what I'm
wondering about is: what can we do for the families that are in need of
emergency food? I was researching this question online and this new
article caught my attention because the title was: "Queens sees huge
surge in demand for emergency meals and food."

"Queens has seen a whopping 106% spike in the number of emergency meals provided to
hungry residents in the past two years - the second-highest increase in
the city - according to a recent report on hunger."

The quote I chose here is basically saying that more families are in need of food
because they cannot afford it. Because of the bad economy, many people
are in debt and have financial problems.

I think this is bad because people are hungry and cannot afford food for themselves and
their families. With the economy being so bad, families are in
financial problems. They have no money to buy food. Queens needs help,
the government should do something about this. Not just Queens, but
anywhere else in the country, if they need food then they should be
given food.

I'm learning more about food security right now, and in particular what I'm
wondering about is: Is agriculture a good development tool? I was
researching this question online, and this post caught my attention
because
there was something about food shortage.

"For the past generation, agriculture has been neglected both by African leaders
and by the international community as a development tool. It is only
recently that global leaders, such as the G8 and the UN, have again
begun to prioritize agriculture in the broader political agenda."

The quote I chose here is basically saying African leaders and the
international community did not think agriculture was a good
development tool. They recently began to bring in agriculture.

I think this is good because agriculture is important. Without crops
grown, raw materials for factories cannot produce goods. Climate change
might be a problem for agriculture so farmers should use
climate-resilient farming methods.

Many people are going hungry. The economy is bad almost everywhere and not many people
can get a lot of food. Though it is unfortunate, it is a fact that
people die from hunger. Africa doesn't have a lot of food. Farming
might be hard because of the climate change due to global warming.
Anyway, there are many places where help is needed. So ask yourself,
what can I do to help those less fortunate than me?

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
