Act 3 proposal for collaboration.. All feedbacks are totally appreciated :)

Its a very intresting challenge that brought actually some memories. I was raised in lebanon where electricity is rare and we do rely on generators as much as we do on the connected grid electricity (whatever it is called).. however, the generator's limits and capacity may not be sufficient to light up the wh*** house. so here where we got creative.. I asked my dad to install a large UPS which is an Uninterruptible Power supply…

To volunteer or not to volunteer is the question?

As I have mentioned before that I am currently living in Barcelona for 6 months now, I have been strolling thru the streets and looking around for opportunities to volunteer or create an event that promotes good nutrition and health, sustainable self-reliant and collaborative family scale farming...

Eureka!

I am living in a new apartment building of 10 floors and each floor has 4 apartments (3 bedrooms) and has a beautiful sun deck roof... It is fully inhabited which means that…

I hope & I live my dream

I imagine being an activist constantly on the call to different kind of crisis and challenges in 10 years from now.. and when I am tired and depressed I will promote Self empowerment campaigns to help individuals like me find where they belong on earth and how beneficial they could be if they chanel their creativity into social works..

I do strongly believe that an architect or any designer should address societal problems thru his/her interventions.. I believe no amount of awareness…

Learning from Industrial Barcelona

I have been living in Barcelona for 6 months now, and I decided to look deeper into food and agriculture sector of this country. Barcelona has been shifting from agricultural to industrial city. there are alot of programs by NGO's trying to appeal and facilitate matters to young farmers but my guess there is not much going on or not well doc**ented on the net. However, I noticed that barcelona lacks the human capital for the agricultural sector, so alot of immigrants are coming to fulfill…

Raising awareness in Touristic Barcelona!

http://www.ted.com/talks/dan_barber_s_surprising_foie_gras_parable.html

this is a fine doc**ent that talks about the history of fois gras and it inspired me to boy-cott forced fois gras after I have learnt that there has been natural farming methods to obtain better result here in south of Spain. So everytime I go out with my friends to restaurants I inquire on the source of the fois gras.. offcourse…

Learning from the African deserts..

I have been looking into African communities for a social innovation to fight poverty, food and water insecurities and to create a better, positive, sustainable community. I have been to arabian deserts before and I don't mind living like a bedouin to see how could I contribute in fighting dertification and lack of education and opportunities of these people but simply I don't think that its necessary to really live and lead a nomadic life to acknowledge the fact that these people are…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
