The way I would bring attention to the world's water crisis would be to stock my university's vending machines with empty water bottles. The empty bottles could be taken from a recycling center nearby. This way, the magnitude of the water crisis would have an effect on students in the states. We cannot even comprehend the idea of not having water available whenever we so desire. The shortage on campus could inspire students to create a new innovation that could enhance the availability of water… Continue

Act 4

I found a program called World Water Corps through the Water for People organization website. The WWC actually goes out into the field where water is most needed and determines the needs of the communities without water. The volunteers for WWC actually play a huge role in the Water for People organization. These are the people who bring the data and information to the public, NGOs, donors, etc. The WWC is always looking for volunteers. Applications are online and include many destinations all… Continue

I like the Water 1st International organization. Their main goal is to provide communities with clean water. In doing this, disease will not be spread at easily. Many females have the job of retrieving clean water for their families. With the accessibility of clean water, women can go back to school and continue their education. The aim of this organization is to implement a sustainable water supply and sanitation projects that will enhance overall health.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. In 2020, my wh*** house will be powered by solar panels. All appliances within my house will be powered by some sort of alternate energy efficient source. I will have a solar powered greenhouse to grow vegetables in, as well. When it is time to roast the turkey, it will be done old school style over a fire. Any physical activites such as playing soccer or baseball can be another source of energy used for later. I have faith that in the future, the use of… Continue

Act 3

I am a pretty active person and I like to go to the gym and ride my bike outdoors. I think if we could harness the energy exerted during exercise, that could be an alternative to using outlets to charge phones, ipods, etc. Mostly small household items or portable items could be charged. Those who use cycle machines, weight machines, ellipticals, etc. could benefit in more than one way from exercising. Energy bills could be much lower and a lesser impact on the environment all while toning and… Continue

There is a factory in Fremont called Solyndra that manufactures solar panels for energy efficiency. The factory also uses greenhouses that are made with Solyndra panels. The solar panels for the greenhouses have been shown to use much less energy and are cost efficient. The panels can be installed quickly and have a long life span of 20+ years. Cool rooftops are also manufactured at this factory. These roofs are all white for a specific reason. A cool roof reduces the use of air conditioners… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
