Hi everybody, I want to show you this AMAZING website that a friend of mine outside EVOKE in turn showed me. Its called Kiva. http://www.kiva.org. It is a website that allows regular people to fund foreign entrepreneurs. As it is my dream to become an investor of this type I am more then over excited. Just wanted to let other people know of this amazing oppertunity!

Poor Leadership

Does this piss anyone else off?

"Those who promised to help us are the same people killing us.Our leaders don't think about us. Our leaders don't care about us. Africa is poor because our leaders are very poor-minded people. They come to

power with fake promises and once they are up there in the high

offices, they forget about the people who put them there.
Not that we…

Security

So I private messaged my group of friends about my concern with safety when traveling abroad to unstable regions. Since then I have had a number of interesting replies and done a bit more research on the subject. I was asked by John Tsangaris to make this a more open discussion so here we go.

This is my original post.

As… Continue

ACT1 (addition)

So I have been thinking about doing some interviews with people I know who the community might like to hear from. The first person who came to mind was a teacher of mine named Chaz Maviyane Davies. He is a world famous poster designer who uses word image combination to talk about political, social, environmental and many other important issues.

Here is what he has to say about his work:

"Over the years I have tried to use images and ideas to cut through complacency and apathy… Continue

OperationSEED

Hello everyone, I made this video the other week to introduce my proposal to the Evoke Network. Overall the response has been positive so I though I would introduce it to the rest of you. Please give me any feedback, positive and negative. Also if you are interested in getting involved I would LOVE that. This is a HUGE undertaking, and without your help I can't do it. There is also a Wikipage that's not 100% right now but it does have some info, and I will be working on it some more.… Continue

VISUAL COMMUNICATION

ON THE SCREEN AND ON THE PAGE

Some of the rules here will be very generic and other will be very specific.

It is important to mention that these "rules" are guidelines and they can

be broken. However, it is important to first understand the rules.…

ACT1

I love the act challenge and have been working to find social innovators who are doing the work that makes me excited. I have contacted Lebone, a company which works on creating organic batteries. Check it out here, pretty incredible tech, http://www.lebone.org/. I'm also shadowing Amy Smith. I really like her in field work, I think that she really lives the advice that she gives.

LEARN1

While reading the posted article, entitled "Innovation in Africa" I

found a number of parallels between their suggestions and the processes

by which I as an artist have been taught to create work.

At the beginning of last year I had a professor who told us that while we

are generating our initial concept we should pretend that we have

unlimited funds and time. Then once we have generated the best idea we

can try and do it with 5$ and one week. This process… Continue

IMAGINE1

I recently realized that my talent in life is seeing the talents in
other people. I think that that the best way for me to utilize this
gift is to start funding people that I know will be successful. Ideally
in the year 2020 when Alchemy summons me to aid in Japan's food crisis
I will be living in the state of Nevada in America and spending all my
money and energy to help fund and support people who I can tell will
make a difference in this world for the better.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
