Solar Power for My Computer

My Laptops Battery died about a year ago. I never got a replacement for it. So I thought about Solar Power for it. I researched some idea's and thought about trying to build something as a project but it would require me to spend more money than I have to actually get something done. So I decided to post my notes about this.

The first set of instructions I read are from this web page. This guy includes pictures and his…

2020 Farming and Food and problems

I have been looking at the idea of farming and food and food security for 2020. I see some things and I don’t see some. I have not studied farming before. I always thought I would like to learn agriculture science and try to help develop things that would help the world. My ideas range from using things from SCI…

The Great African Land Gulp

This morning I came across this article. I have included parts of it that stuck out to me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Selling off Africa's resources isn't 'development'. It's greed

The result will be recently disenfranchised farmers working for wages. Oil supplies are being depleted and soon the major land grab in Africa…

The Value of Nothing (Everything = Zero)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P03nNeYiJo&feature=player_embedded

couple months ago I stumbled onto this guy. Raj Patel. I would even like to follow him as a hero for his message speaks to me but when I tried to get a message to him through the internet I ran into walls. I feel money is worthless we put value on it so it is valuable to us if we would stop valuing money then we could…

Rising prices in food that is the moral right of all who are born into this world.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug once said that “food is the moral right of all who are born into this world.”

Rising food prices may start with seeds

Farmers say consolidation in the industry means they're forced to buy more costly seeds. But Monsanto, the world's largest seed firm, says competition 'is alive and flourishing.'…

Food for thought 2020, what are we eating?

Wow thinking about what we are eating. I looked at this in many ways. If we are poor and needy we might be living on food grown in the vicinity. Backyard garden surviving.

Things are scarce. Meat a rarity beyond the mcdonalds buger every now and then. Some people will be living off McDonalds style food. The food might be getting better for us by then but long term survivablity is still not that healthy they are cheap the ones who can…

Dooms Day Seed Banks

I came across this article last night it is pretty new http://news.discovery.com/earth/doomsday-seed-vault-collection.html The doomsday seed bank in Norway has now 500,000 seeds. Half a million seeds. The manager of the bank thinks they will probably max out at a million seeds when he retires or when things become dire. The article mentions that there are 1,400 other seed banks around the world. War wiped out…

Meals of 2020

I would be sitting down to a meal of processed packaged food bought for 2 bucks. The food is like a Meal Ready to Eat designed to give me enought nutrient to get through the day for when food rationing is in need. Various packages and varities are available. We will also be eating on the side homegrown food. Maybe from homegardens. Animals raised at home is a no no in some city's like mine we cant have no farm animals within city limits except for chicken.

Living on 2 dollars a day

About 6 years ago my wife and I lived on 2 dollars a day for about 6 months a year for about 3 years. We was dirt poor, barely eating, barely surviving. I had just left a job with the idea of getting a better job we ended up becomeing the caretakers of our landlords laudromat next door to pay for our rent. At that time the Welfare agencies looked for any reason to deny a person food share benefits. I realized I was spending more money on work search than food in our bellys so I decided it…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
