How Evoke Works

Evoke is a network that promoted the sustainability of our Earth and its resources. It is a team of people who , each week, collaborate towards a common mission. These missions are about the caring of our environment. This is crucial as we are abusing its resources. The Evoke missions are in a cartoon format and they depict tasks and problems in the world. The missions comprise of three aspects: Learn, Act and Imagine. These are the ideas of the tasks that the users on Evoke do. They can be… Continue

Who to Call in a Pandemic

I would like to call on a crisis management team that is like a service (like the police). They should be efficient and knowledgeable about crisis control. I think that this should be linked to the defense force and the secretary of defense should be in charge. The team should be deployed in a crisis and should be skilled and able in a state of emergency. Training must happen in order to skill these people. They should deal with the crisis as well as the people that it affects.

How People Act in a Pandemic

People meet the basic needs in a pandemic and if the situation gets out of hand, people will do what is necessary in order to survive. Ways to stop this are:
  • Effective alert, people need to know what is happening and when
  • Needs Fulfillment, the government and other members of the public need to ensure the health and safety of citizens
  • Citizen management, the government need to calm people down and deal with issues
  • Problem Solving, the issue needs to be…

What I will Pass On

When i am 100 I'll pass on the usage of solar power. It can be used for many thing. Large scale uses such as powering electrical devices to small things like cooking. I will tell them that when I was younger i made a solar cooker. I made it out of an old umbrella. I put foil on the inside of the umbrella and put it upside-down on the ground. I then took a black (for insulation) can filled with water and put it in the middle of the umbrella. After a while the reflected rays heated the water to… Continue

The Call from Alchemy

I believe Alchemy will call me to help solve the Tokyo food crisis as i think that implementing the floating farms idea will benefit them. Also since Tokyo is a busy city I think that Vertical produce gardens or even vertical produce farms should be made as they are manageable and they save space.

How to Spread the Word in a Crisis

Here are a few ways
  • An emergency SMS/distress alarm sent out instantly to everyone's cell phone from each service provider.
  • A "crisis" alarm in everyones house that works on every possible form of broadcasting to ensure reliability
  • A neighborhood shelter/bunker with a dedicated crisis alarm (mentioned earlier) and possibly a person from the government who stays there and ensures the safety of people in the neighborhood.
  • A company/government branch that…

Life for Women in the Future

Woman's Day will be quite the occasion! The women of today are equal to men. the stereotype of the bread-bringing husband is gone and universities of the world have more women qualifying than men. The main reason for this change was that stereotype. In poorer communities that has limited women so much and because it was practiced, entire communities lived by it. Now though countries who give woman opportunities help other countries break down negative and unfair traditions/ethics and empower… Continue

The future of Moola!

Cell phone banking is on peoples lips and I believe that this can be expanded to a global scale. Money is fading away and is ill-balanced among people. Cell phone or digital banking will be a step toward as you are able to trade across the world with the touch of a button. Imagine a company boss ending a conference call in South Africa and ,after talking about investing, sends through the funds to the investment company in America. To prevent theft and crime the phones or "pocket banks" as i… Continue

Celebration Power in 2020

We emerge from our houses and enter the dome. The dome is over our country and gives us a controllable environment. The day is energy day and it is the anniversary of the gigantic wave plant that brought us out of darkness. the wave plant provides out city with power by harnessing the movement of tides, waves and currents. Since unsustainable resources have run out these facilities are almost everywhere. They also use nuclear energy to assist the energy production. We celebrate this day as it… Continue

Water Solution

What needs to be done is mass distillation of water and possibly sea water. Mass distillation must become a reality and it is an effective way of getting clean water. the problem is the yield as it can be a slow process. I suggest that the water should be heated by geothermal energy as this is sustainable and clean.

Managing Panic in a Pandemic

Due to recent scares of diseases such as swine and avian flu. widespread pandemics seem to be caused by animals and can cause a lot of damage. A good way to manage a pandemic would be to control livestock production in places with a high human population. If anyone has any other evokers have suggestions to do this please comment below. I'll might use the best ones in my evokation.
Thanks!

Major Issues in SA Concerning Food

The main problem we have in South Africa is the lack of decent education in schools. This leads to a general lack of knowledge. Knowledge is power and without it our people dont earn jobs that earn a good income. They are also deprived of certain opportunities and their skills and even ideas are looked down on or even rejected.

The worst thing about this is that that number is growing. A solution for this can only come from the government…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
