420 women and girls that have been killed in Ciudad Juarez Mexico. Learn6

I didn´t find anything relevant in WomenWatch about the more than 420 women and girls that have been killed in Ciudad Juarez Mexico. To read about it go here and choose your language http://www.mujeresdejuarez.org/
Now go to http://www.petitiononline.com/NiUnaMas/ and sign the petition to end violence against women in Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua.

I made this some years ago, unfortunately the number of death woman has gone up since then.

@ Ethan: Yes NAFTA created a lot of low paying jobs in the border with the US in towns like Juarez. The high unemployment in certain areas of Mexico forced families and young female workers to migrate to this border towns. The lack of a safe social structure for this woman, a town where multinational corporations controlled the economy and law with absolutely no accountability, geographically separated families, drug lords, poverty and machismo became an ideal situation for this crimes. The commonality in all this crimes is young single poor woman. And because the poor don´t have a voice in Mexico and even less in Juarez then the problem keeps growing and growing.

I know from good sources that this crimes are related to a powerful businessman in Juarez.

I have a friend that made a doc**entary in Juarez, if you know of any film distributor please contact me.
