Here's something really cool that I found while searching the internet:A solar purificator; so a water container that's designed to kill harmful containers in the water. Italian inventors Alberto Medo and Francisco Gomez Paz created this water purification container. There's not much to go into detail with, but this is pretty huge; about 1/6th of the world's population lacks clean drinking water, containing harmful pathogens that cause illness (diarrhea, poisoning, etc.) It says on their website that 2.5 million people die every year because of some problem related to unfiltered water.
The website also says that the bottle uses SODIS (solar water disinfection) by using UV-A rays and the heat inside of the bottle to kill harmful pathogens.
My only beef with the website is that there is no specifications on the size of the bottle, nor a picture relative to something else to see its size.
SODIS bottles work by filling water into clean PET (clean, transparent, plastic) bottles , then exposing them to direct sunlight, for at least 6 hours on a sunny day, then put the water into the SODIS water. They are then good for drinking.
