Based on my current situation, I can reasonably predict that in ten years I'll be working for either an energy efficiency consulting and design company or possibly a wind energy company. I'm not even sure which I'd prefer at the moment, since our country needs so much of both in my opinion. Regardless, with those options, I'll be enjoying my day job, which means I won't be so stressed out after work that I won't have motivation for other pursuits (and time for a potential family). I'd like to still be collaborating with some of the same people I'm working with currently on 'climate saving' solutions. Hopefully some of our ideas take off, which would not only be helping the planet, but could also potentially make us independently wealthy so we could devote more time to similar projects. I won't be banking on that (with a meaningful day job that I actually enjoy), but it wouldn't hurt to have the option.
In regard to the then-occurring Tokyo food crisis, maybe by that time I'll have come up with some food-based ideas. My focus right now is on energy, but priorities could easily shift in the next decade, and being prepared ahead of time isn't exactly overrated.
