I hate keeping diaries. I always have. Can never quite keep up. But reflection is good and insightful. Today is going to be a busy day...first I gotta get the kids ready and off to school. I have a meeting with other community problem solvers this morning and then I teach a class at the local community college. I love my job(s) really. They allow me freedom, variety, new and interesting challenges, and engagement with the people around me. This afternoon the kids come home from school and we'll do some gardening and homework. We'll play a few games and then make dinner. Today is Monday so our day to share dinner with our little community of 3 families. Everyone comes over about 6 and we talk about our day and the kids play together. I'm a bit tired this evening so hope to be in bed by 10. Live is good. I can see the world improving, more and more people interested in living in a way that isn't harmful to anyone else. We've downsized over the past few years and upsized in other ways (the kids ;-0 ). We've learned that sharing is the best way. And the rewards of deeper relationships that come from caring for each other outweigh any "sacrifice" we've made. I'm ready for the task ahead and I have the support around me to help me through whatever challenge lies before me.
