A crash course in changing the world.
Dinner... that's a hard one. I didn't really have a real dinner for some time now. I live in Copenhagen,
capital of Denmark northern Europe. Ten years ago food shortage was
no problem, but that was before the global warming. Yes, I know most
people don't consider a few degrees worth mentioning, but the weather
has become erratic over the years. And for the last few years crops
has failed over large areas of the world, including Europe.
We are not talking famine like hundred of years ago, but Europe is suffering. A lot of resources goes into
securing what food we can manage. Green houses, fish dams are a few
of the stable food providers as open fields to often gets swamped by
heavy rain or fried by to much sun. The situation is bad all over the
world and most borders are closed for travel as hunger refugees has
started to move, especially from Africa and Asia.
So dinner? Well my wife, our kids and I, cooked some home grow vegetables. All our garden has been turned
into small greenhouses. We also today have purchased some fish (you
don't want to know the cost, but most of our income goes into food).
It made a fine soup and I think we all got enough. I may call it
dinner, as we ate it in the middle of the day. We usually only get
one big meal a day. Oh, I do longer for the good old days.
