A crash course in changing the world.
Women need to be empowered and they need to sustain themselves, and their families, if they had to. Empowered women are less apt to accept violence or tolerate it for lack of choice.
The idea to help women take an active role as active economic players. One way, is to give them the basic entry level skills to help them find jobs. The idea to empower women and education is to reduce the gap between women’s’ skills and the basically needed entry level skills into the market. Since not all women, are able to start their own business. Training programs are focusing on these skills:
- Critical, creative and analytical skills
- Problem solving
- Ability to employ research in one’s work
- Working collaboratively in groups
- Advanced communications skills
- The ability to use and harness existing technology, tools or available resources in a safe and efficient way.
• Economic impact of investment in education is very substantive.
• With an expected $3,000 annual return in a developing country, for those who gain and sustain life-long learning and higher-level skills.
Quote from a child: Tiburcio, Paraguay : “Thanks to what I learned, I was offered a job, which is not easy with the economic situation of the country. All of this is thanks to the opportunities learning how to use a computer and work in a team.”
